Cashgora Fingering

$54.00

Brand Port Fiber

Soft and lustrous, Cashgora fiber is the result of crossbreeding Cashmere, Angora, and other high goats of the Central Asian steppe. Combed from goats in Tajikstan, shipped to Afghanistan for processing, then handspun in Tajikstan by a women’s collective, Cashgora yarn is distributed by Port Fiber out of Portland, Maine. Each skein features the name and photograph of the woman who spun it; a biography for each spinner is available on their website.

To learn more about their story check out our blog post.

Please note: Each skein is hand-dyed in small batches, therefore colors may vary. Cashgora dye lots tend to be quite different from each other, so please be sure to purchase enough yarn for your project!
