Knit Purl is nestled in bustling downtown Portland, Oregon. It's the perfect spot to fit into a day of relaxing or running errands.
There are dozens of places to eat steps away, and fantastic shopping is just around the corner.

We are right on the streetcar and #15 bus lines. All MAX stops are just a few blocks down the street. If you happen to be driving, we validate one hour of Smartpark for purchases of $25 or more! Two Smartpark garages are conveniently located within

Eat and Drink

Living in a foodie town means it's easy to find great food wherever you are. The food carts between SW 10th and 11th and SW Washington and Alder have a range of dietary and regional options, and are generally inexpensive. Keep in mind that many carts only accept cash, and there is no seating in the area. However, two blocks north is O'Bryant Square, and three blocks south you can find Director Park, with plenty of space to sit and relax.

A few food carts we frequent are:

A Little Bit of Smoke Carolina BBQ
Grilled Cheese Grill
Korean Twist
Nong's Khao Man Gai
Savor Soup House
La Jarochita #2
The Whole Bowl

There are also a host of amazing restaurants, great cocktail spots, and a few dessert places in the area.

Explore

Some of our favorite downtown must-sees include Powell's City of Books (an entire city block of books!), the Central Library
(opened in 1913, the architecture is astounding), the Portland Art Museum (the oldest art museum on the West Coast), and Portland's
various gardens (the Rose, Chinese, and Japanese gardens are breathtaking).

A few blocks south, on Saturdays, you can find PSU's farmers market. On Mondays, nearby Pioneer Courthouse Square hosts its own.
And there is another farmers market Wednesdays outside the Portland Art Museum!

Living Room Theaters' cozy atmosphere is great for taking in the latest art house film.
