Trailblazer Amy Butler has been designing for decades, making quilters and seamstresses the world over gasp and covet. Until recently, knitters were safe from her captivating colors and bold prints - no longer!
In collaboration with Rowan Yarns, Amy has now released a line of Rowan yarns and a pattern booklet. The collection is nothing less than what we would expect from this Midwestern temptress.
Her unique palette and affinity for prints has been translated beautifully into a line of yarns that are ideal for a wide variety of projects and knitting techniques. Striking prints, bold stripes, and rich cables are executed beautifully with these new yarns.
A 50/50 blend of super-soft organic wool and organic cotton, Belle Organic is available in two weights, Aran and DK. Lofty and slightly heathered, the combination of wool and cotton gives the yarn a slight sheen and subtle tone-on-tone color variation.
Dyed in Amy's signature palette, these handsome must-have hues are on-trend for the coming Fall season. Even better, the blend itself is simply perfect for transitional and layering garments that can be worn year-round.
The collection, Midwest Modern Knits, is a fantastic look into Amy's own personal style. Packed with 24 garment and accessory patterns worthy of Anthropologie, we're willing to bet that many of these designs will be on the ravelry Top Ten list all too soon.
