Spring might be the season of love, but this fall we're smitten with a brand new pattern collection. Since our first chance encounter a month ago on the Brooklyn Tweed website, we've been pining for these beauties from afar, hoping that soon they would make the journey from Brooklyn to Portland and wrap us up in a wooly embrace. Now, we're happy to report that the day has come: the BT FALL 11 collection has arrived at Knit Purl.

It's not often that we feel the need to knit every single design in a collection, but then again, this is Brooklyn Tweed, creation of visionary designer and knitwear trendsetter Jared Flood. Plus, this time he's added two new designers to the team, Leila Raabe and Michele Wang, both known for their unique styles and up-to-the-minute designs.

The result is a line of 15 lush patterns, each with its own charming flourishes and special appeal. From trim, ribbed cardigans to comfy oversized pullovers, intricately cabled mitts to slouchy tams, there's a style for every knitter in BT FALL 11. Plus, with the holiday knitting season coming up, you'll be happy to know that there are a number of quick one or two skein projects in the collection, perfect for whipping out gifts to suit your most fashion-forward friends and family.

The designs from BT FALL 11 are perfectly complemented by Brooklyn Tweed's beloved yarn, SHELTER. From sheep raised in Wyoming and spun in a historic New Hampshire mill, SHELTER hearkens back to a time when American craftsmanship and innovation were at their height and celebrates the value of rustic beauty. SHELTER's tweeds are made from precise combinations of solid wool fleece, resulting in a rich palette of complex heathered hues.

As much as we adore each and every one of the patterns from BT FALL 11, we're willing to share--we think you'll love them as much as we do. Cast on now and you'll still be twitterpated come winter!
