Shipping + Ordering FAQ

  1. How much is shipping and how quickly will my package arrive?
      Shipping and handling for our US customers is a flat $6.50 for 3-5 day shipping. To Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and countries in Europe, we offer $16 flat shipping. All other locations the shipping is determined on a case by case basis and we'll contact you if you wish to make a purchase We try to ship all orders by the next business day. If we have a question about your order, you will be contacted by email or phone.
  2. What is your return policy?
      Unused yarn in its original condition may be exchanged for store credit within 120 days of purchase. When exchanging yarn, shipping costs to and from Knit Purl will be your responsiblility. All return shipments must be insured. We cannot accept responsibility for exchange items lost or damaged in shipping.

      We do not accept exchanges on books, needles and accessories unless items were damaged in shipment. Knit Purl will pay any shipping costs associated with replacing damaged merchandise. Please include the damaged merchandise and a description of the damage along with a copy of your original receipt, your email address and your shipping address.

      Unused yarn purchased online at knit-purl.com may be exchanged at our store in Portland, Oregon, and damaged items can be replaced if you bring the damaged items and provide a copy of your original receipt.

  3. How secure is my information?
      We protect your credit card information with several layers of strong encryption during the ordering process. Once we've verified that the contents of your order are in stock and can be shipped, we'll charge your card and then delete your credit card information. We value your privacy and your personal information just as much as you do.
  4. How accurate are the colors in your yarn photos?
      All monitors display colors differently. The color you see might be slightly different from the color we see when we're posting our photos. If you have a question, please call us toll-free at 866.656.KNIT and we can help you choose colors.
  5. How do I care for my knitted garments?
      Most hand-knitting yarns are best cared for by soaking in lukewarm water with a capful of Eucalan or another wool wash and laying flat to dry. Some yarns, including superwash wool like Cascade 220 superwash and Debbie Bliss Cashmerino, can be machine washed but will last longer and look better when hand washed and dried.
